Import Students from PowerSchool
Importing students from PowerSchool consists of two steps.
First, you'll want to export students from PowerSchool by following the steps below:
- Click Special Functions on the left navigation bar
- On the next screen select Importing & Exporting
- Then select Templates for Exporting. On this step, you need to define the report template compatible with Aktivate Scheduling. If there is one already there for Aktivate Scheduling find it in the list and then click on the "0" in the third column or click New. Click New to add a field.
- In the Title/Heading field, enter the name that Aktivate Scheduling uses (last name)
- In the Data To Export field - enter the PowerSchool field name (last_name)
- Regarding the GPA - You will want to use a data access tag in the Data to Export field to run the GPA calculation "~(*gpa method="Final GPA")". Final GPA in the above tag is referencing the name of the GPA calculation found in District Office under District > GPA Calculations.
- Unfortunately, you cannot include the field for Student Email in an Export Template. In this case you need to leave it blank. - On this step you need to define all columns of the report template. Aktivate Scheduling compatible format is the following:
- Go back to Special Functions -> Importing & Exporting
- Then, click Export Using Template
- As a type of Export, select Students
- Select the created template and submit.
- After the export is done, open it in Excel and save it as a CSV

To upload the report to Aktivate Scheduling, follow the steps below:
- On Aktivate Scheduling site, select Students from the left navigation bar
- On the top of the page click Import Students --> PowerSchool
- Select the CSV file created from PowerSchool and wait for a moment
- If no errors were found, you can see your student imported to Aktivate Scheduling
